1. HOW TO STORE YOUR FEMME FANATIQUE SHOES

Keep your Femme Fanatique shoes away from alcohol, oil, water, white spirit and solvents. You should also keep them protected from rain.Do not attempt to dry them using any direct source of heat such as a hair dryer or a radiator. They should be left to dry naturally. You may clean your shoes using leather care products, never soap or water (there are exceptions for special types of fabric and leather, please read further below). Please take care to follow the instructions on the packaging of any product before use, and test in a non-visible area of the shoe first, to make sure the color is not affected.

2. HOW TO MAINTAIN THE SHAPE OF YOUR SHOES

Leather shoes tend to stretch and take the shape of your own foot over time. Stuffing them with un-coloured paper or using a shoe-tree will help them preserve their shape and extend their life.

3. HOW TO MAINTAIN THE SOLES

Your Femme Fanatique shoes are fitted with durable soles that should last for a long time if treated with care and respect. Replacing the soles is not recommended, as this may damage your shoes or affect their shape and comfort level.

4. HOW TO MAINTAIN THE LINING

Please use a clean damp cloth to remove dirt from the leather lining, or a soft suede brush for suede lining.

5. TIPS FOR CALF & NAPPA LEATHER

It’s natural for leather to become soft and wrinkled over time. Dirt can be removed by using a dry and soft cloth. To keep the leather’s softness you may use a neutral leather conditioner on shoes that are completely dry and after you’ve spot tested it.

6. TIPS FOR METALLIC LEATHER

Please make sure your metallic leather shoes are not scratched by sharp objects or rubbed against coarse, gritty surfaces, as the glossy finish is very sensitive. Leather care products are not appropriate for metallic leather. Again, you can remove dirt by using a dry, soft cloth.

7. TIPS FOR PATENT LEATHER

The coating of patent leather is sensitive to colour transfer so your shoes must be stored away from direct light and heat sources, in their own storage bags. Please use a soft cloth to gently remove dirt, to protect the glossy coating of the leather.

8. TIPS FOR SUEDE

Use a soft suede brush to clean dirt from suede shoes. Due to the nature of the leather, color may not always be consistent which is completely natural. To protect your shoes from getting wet, you may use an appropriate waterproofing product. Store your shoes away from direct light and heat sources, in their own storage bags.

9. TIPS FOR CALF HAIR

Remove dirt by rubbing with a dry, soft cloth in the direction of the hair growth. Leather care products must not be used on your calf hair shoes. Calf hair may be shed occasionally, and its color may vary. Your shoes must not be scratched by sharp objects or rubbed against coarse, gritty surfaces, as calf leather hair may be lost permanently.

10. TIPS FOR METALLIC TEXTILES

The fabric of your shoes is particularly delicate, so it must not be scratched by sharp objects or rubbed against coarse, gritty surfaces because it might tear. Special care must be taken when storing metallic textiles with crystal embellishments in their storage bags, so the crystals do not touch the fabric which may be damaged.

11. TIPS FOR GLITTER

Leather care products must not be used on your glitter decorated shoes. You may clean them using a dry, soft cloth. Should they get wet, do not attempt to dry them using any direct source of heat such as a hair dryer or a radiator. They should be left to dry naturally. Fabric covered in glitter has an impressive, sparkly appearance, but you should bear in mind that glitter may be accidentally removed if your shoes are scratched by sharp objects or rubbed against coarse, gritty surfaces.
