Our story
Founded in Athens in 2014 by Aimilia Kanta, Femme Fanatique is a luxury footwear and accessories brand dedicated to creating handcrafted pieces that unite timeless elegance, exceptional comfort, and refined craftsmanship.
The brand was born from a passion for tango and the belief that a high-heeled shoe should never compromise between beauty and comfort. Beginning with premium tango shoes, Femme Fanatique has evolved into a distinguished collection of bridal, evening, and made-to-order footwear, complemented by handcrafted handbags and selected fashion accessories.
Every creation is meticulously handcrafted by skilled artisans using premium materials and traditional techniques. Guided by a philosophy that values authenticity, individuality, and enduring design over passing trends, Femme Fanatique offers bespoke creations that reflect the personality and style of every woman.

Founder & CEO
Born in 1970 in Corfu, Aimilia Kanta studied graphic design at the Technological Educational Institute of Athens. From 1996 to 2000 she worked as an art director and then as a creative director in television. She has taught graphic design and advertising in private and public vocational training institutes, before founding award-winning creative agency Somethink* in 2001.
She served as the general secretary of the Greek Graphic Designers Association between 2010-12 and was partner and managing director of Design Lobby Greece for the years 2013-2014. She is the creative director of Femme Fanatique, which she co-founded in 2014. In September 2017 she became the brand's main owner.
Katia
Meneghini
Designer
Katia is an Italian designer, visual artist and tango dancer. She studied graphic design and photography in Padova, history of art at the University of Ca’ Foscari (Venice) and visual arts at the IUAV University of Venice. She works between art and design with projects ranging from products, space installations and events where the public is invited to interact and is often actively involved. She has taken part in various art residencies and workshops: in Denmark with the Royal Academy of Fine Arts of Copenhagen, in Brasil with the FAAP of Sao Paulo, and in Italy at the Unidee program of Cittadellarte Fondazione Pistoletto.
In 2009 she co-founded CTRLZAK art and design studio in Milan with Thanos Zakopoulos. The studio has received numerous awards in Italy and internationally, including the Leonardo da Vinci Design Award (2019) and the Wallpaper* Design Award (2018). Katia's passion for tango has informed her first collection of footwear for Femme Fanatique.
Christina
Martini
Designer
Christina is a Greek shoe designer with a deep appreciation for craftsmanship and history. Born in Athens, she studied at the prestigious Cordwainers College in London, where she was awarded the Cordwainers Company’s Award for Excellence in Footwear. Her early career brought her to the studios of Balenciaga in Paris and Louis Vuitton, where she shaped both creative and commercial footwear lines.
In 2011, she co-founded Ancient Greek Sandals, a brand inspired by mythology and traditional techniques, now found in over 400 boutiques worldwide. Her work is defined by a timeless aesthetic, rooted in heritage yet elegantly contemporary.
The Love Collection for Femme Fanatique is her latest chapter — a tribute to romantic minimalism and sculptural elegance.
